Cheers mate! I've been thinking about buying a Black and Decker, for the money this looks brilliant though.

Looks like a very capable piece of equipment; has many more features than most other workmates. The £10 one I got from B&Q is a pile of crap and this will replace it nicely

Think I've got the same £10 from b&q. Comes with collapsable legs so you can fold it away for easy storage. Except when you try to open it you can't because the legs are bent!

Good spot there. Worth it if you live in the vicinity. Otherwise I think it works out slightly more expensive once you have added on the delivery

I can't work on my engine with this - it's far too posh.
Heavy too as well as substantial.

I got a similar type from Wickes for £10 probably not as well made but looks very similar.And the £148 list price is a joke they wouldn't sell one at that price.£32 is about right.

I've found the underclamping quite useful today for routing shelf slots.
I like the quick action clamping, a great improvement over my old B&D workmate.

Sadly the enclosed DVD was broken ;(
