    That's a good price.

But a word of warning to men. It is overly sentimental. I'd only buy it for the wife.

    Ah, not really.

I got it as a present but am a big Top Gear fan.

All the bits about how much he and his wife love each other and love the daughetrs go on a bit.

Especially the bits she has written.

I thought that was the point of a Autobiography?

I suppose what I am trying to say is that if you are a top gear fan who enjoys tales of fast cars and crashes that this might not be for you.

If on the other hand, you enjoy reading six chapters of someone you have never seen talking about trying to hold back the tears in an intensive care ward, while being ever mindful of how much she loves her daughters, and reminiscing about the formation of her relationship; this could be for you.

Especially if after reading all that you would like to get to the part where Richard wakes up and writes for six chapters about how much he loves his wife, dogs and his daughters.

There are people who thrive on the above. My point simply was don't expect a book like Jeremy Clarkson would write.

I see what your saying, However puting people in these two stereotypical boxes dosent really work does it?

I am a great fan of fast cars and are pretty much glued to the screen when top gear is on, cars are a big part of my life, however I also have a sensitive side and see how his wife would have been upset????

    I totally agree.
I hated the parts written by his wife and once halfway through the book, I stopped reading her sentimental mumblings. I then only read what Mr H had written, but even then, once 3/4 of the way through, I gave up.
I can honestly say, as a fella, this is quite possibly the worst book I have ever read.
It is even more annoying that he should make so much money out of having an accident. All of the profits should go to the Air ambulance / hostpital that saved him. He shouldnt profit from this.
