It seems that Ive broken my old inkjet printer, not that Im heavy handed or anything *cough cough*. My old printer was a Lexmark but the cartridges are expensive. I think an Epson or a Canon (must be able to print photos) would probably be better.
Any ideas of where I can get a cheapish one from and am I looking at the right make of printers?
Thankyou.

PC world are reducing prices on the brother range of all in one printers (including fax)...the lowest model of the range is 1/2 price down to £60 and apparently the brother ink cartridges are alot cheaper than other makes...I have been thinking of buying all in one printer for sometime but i dont know about brother printers...has anyone got any feedback if used them before or is it that they are ru***sh and thats why they are going on the cheap???0

I bought an IP3000 about 2 months ago. Main difference to the base model is the ability to write directly onto cds. It was also the cheapest at PCworld using the buy online, collect instore option.
Very happy with the printer so far!0 -
my understanding is that the cartridges on brother printers are extremely expensive which is why I bought a canon, one of the cheapest.0

Having recently bought a canon, I would not use anything else (perhaps an Epsom) Mainly because the ink is so much cheaper. I used to worry about printing stuff because I knew I would soon be lumbered with a new cartridge at £23. I just got a replacement set of canon cartridges for £5.99 for ALL 4 !
So I print loads and waste paper..... It's worth thinking about considering photos take a fair bit of inkNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
I bought the Brother DCP110c last year with a spare set of ink cartridges for £99 (a QVC TSV!). Best all in one I have ever had, had Lexmark before. The Brother is economical on ink as it has 4 cartridges, blk and 3 separate colours. I buy my replacements at the Ink Factory http://www.inkfactory.com/inkjet_printers.php?inkjet=BROTHER&s=0
