Flaked almonds left from Xmas - any recipe ideas please ?

Hi all

I have a pack of flaked almonds left over from Xmas - I only used 20g of them and have no idea on what  Brain like sieve atm

Anyway, I have 180g left and have no idea what to do with them.

Does anyone have any recipes that are quick and easy as I don't have much time whilst the babies are asleep.

Many thanks

:)

  • i made some muffins at the weekend using up all the ingredients i had bought for Xmas that were left over. pecans, flaked almonds, dried cranberries and dates. all mixed into a normal muffin recipe with some cinnamon.

There was a recipe in the BBC good food mag last month for a gingerbread house. It's a basic gingerbread man recipe, but you cut the dough into 4 walls and a roof. Then you put the flaked almonds into the roof part to look like roof slates and bake it, then use icing to fit it all together and stick sweeties on...

Actually, it does sound like a faff...:o

You could always add it to Coronation Chicken for Sandwiches. Indeed it's good on curries, particularly creamy ones, adds a nice crunch!:D

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!
