Money-off Vouchers?

I normally use vouchers at the till in Tesco but have always wondered where some of you get so many vouchers to use, sometimes totalling £10-£20 off the final bill.
The most I've ever got off the bill is £1.25, which was yesterday, using 4 vouchers for some student discounts on various newspapers.
Where do you find the higher value vouchers, e.g.£1 or £2 off, or maybe one of the Asda or Sainsbury's ones which Tesco accept??

Have a look at "Vochers by mail" thread, I think that's what it's called anyway. I've got loads from them.

Look in the papers /magazines. Daily Mail often has vouchers for a magazine (they count too).
Keep an eye on the MSE boards lots of helpful tips there.
Get a Tesco clubcard and they send vouchers to be used on their goods.0 -
ps Pick up the free store magazines. They have vouchers in.0

I guess there's a button for vouchers on self scan till. Our shop doesn't have self scan tills yet. Have to find a Tesco that does as they are getting very picky about vouchers over the counter.0 -
Sainsbury's self scan don't take any coupons even if you have bought the product!

When are you all going to see the light and go to Waitrose???!!!
My shopping bill was £114 there yesterday and after vouchers I paid £45!!
Needless to say I was very happy!! Even customer services there said it was legit and they were happy to have my business. Mind you they get the money back from the manufacturers so they gain and I gain! Admitedly their prices are slightly higher and no BOGOF or stuff like that but I really enjoyed the higher quality choice.
In fact, the whole thing was a treat, there were loads of mums and babies spaces, clean baby seat trolleys, the cashier offered to get someone to help me unpack the trolley as well as pack the bags, the baby changing room was spacious and immaculate and Customer Services couldn't have been more helpful about vouchers - none of the feelign that I was sneaking around trying to get extra through the tills. It was the first time since stopping work and having my daughter that I felt I could splash out and buy stuff without worrying too much about the cost.
THe only problem is...I have no vouchers left!!! LOL>0 -
How did you manage to use £6.45 off at the till? the supervisors at my store look at their master screen with hawk eyes and pounce as soon as money goes off the bill.
I've been WRONGLY embarrassed at the till twice and the last time I nearly smashed the guy's face in, but stopped myself, with all those CCTV and secitury guards watching... gave him a piece of my mind and I know I won the argument as I showed the email and he stopped whining.0 -
P.S: did I mention that they actually opened the machine and looked at each of my 3 vouchers in turn before manually adding the value of the vouchers back to my shopping bill, also in front of all these other people?
Next time I go in with the printed email from HQ, and a baseball bat in case they don't take notice.0 -
