FIRST NIGHT RECORDS presents the critically acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production of PARADE available on 17th December. The double CD features the entire score and dialogue from the London production and contains free DVD containing exclusive interviews with the creative team plus composer JASON ROBERT BROWN.
Winner of two Tony awards and the New York Drama Desk and Critics Circle award for best musical, the show ran at the Donmar Warehouse from September to end of November this year. Universally praised by the London drama critics across the press and full houses nightly the show was heavily over subscribed. The musical tells the true story of Leo Frank a Jewish man from Brooklyn who in 1913 is accused of the murder of a young factory worker in Atlanta Georgia. Based on the book by ALFRED UHRY (Driving Miss Daisy) with music and lyrics by JASON ROBERT BROWN (Songs for a New World and The Last Five Years) and conceived by HAROLD PRICE. The musical recalls the frenzy and public hatred that surrounded Frank’s trial and his wife’s crusade for Justice. In a time of religious intolerance and political injustice the musical explores the endurance of love against all the odds.
