Slow Payer?

I bought a Tv video and dvd combination on fiance and asked the collecter to have a two week break from payments until i got my car fixed?
She said no problems as the Tv was £1200 and had been paid down to £495.
I recive a letter two weeks later saying if i dont bring my missed two weeks payments upto date? they would register me as a slow payer on all of the credit ref agencies?
I phoned them up and they said it was a standard letter????? A standard letter is - you seem to be behind with your payments? could you please bring them up to date as soon as posssible?
Not we will register you as a slow payer???? Are they allowed to do this after only missing two weeks payments? And i made the bloody payments up anyway.

Advice would really help me thanks Darren

It probably is a standard letter with that company. One large debt collecting company (can't remember the name) used to send out first letters to people starting with 'your estimated court appearance date is (insert date a few weeks away)'. That usually got peoples attention.
