since i found this site, ive found many tips of ms, it certainly rubs off doesnt it. im trying to get my mum and dad thinking my way;)
well, normally january is a poor month, usually going over od etc.
ok, i know as ive got 2k mortgage arrears currently, im not paying my creditors the amount i was when on dmp, only £1 each at the mo. anyway that aside, ive been absolutely dreading my mortgage company taking the further £300 repayment on the 28th each month til june. i used to spend weekly on shopping £120 for a family of 5, but past 3 weeks ive been managing to spend about £60, without much notice, just by changing quite a lot of the branded items to own brand, and doing mealplanner.
ive got the roadtax this month, but im confident, if i do exactly as this month its definately acheivable, PLUS hubby has done quite a bit of O/T. not sure weather to save it in a different account, as i dont have any money saved at all, or pay off one of my smaller debts(ive one at £80 and another for about £180) apart from the larger ones. next month i may need this money though if hubby doesnt do ANY O/T as i need 2 tyres, mot and a service. hmmmmmmm maybe debt has to wait.
but im bloody proud im saving on the food shop!

lol, i know what you mean, im like planning each month, upto april so far. just a bit obsessed about trying to save money at the moment, never have been interested before, i guess my LBM has been flickering a while, head in sand kind of thing, now its a dazzling 150w!! my child benefit is due same day as payday, so will be a bit flush, just hoping my employer has paid me holiday as my maternity leave ended last month:o0 -
