    LilacLillie 4.5lbs is FANTASTIC! :T

You should be SOOO proud of yourself, whatever you have done this week has really worked!

If others are eating pizza/McDs/having wine binges then they are more than likely going to come unstuck at some point. It isn't a race, and you won't find any of that nonsense on this thread!

Stick with it LL & keep posting, you are doing GREAT!

  • Well done everyone and hello newbies.
Thanks Suggs for the new thread.
Ajax I hope Mrs. A is on the mend now - sounds awful for you both.
Hope anyone else poorly is feeling better.
I am off work as my wisdom tooth is infected - never come through properly and I am heading towards my forties! (never had much wisdom!) I am off to the dentist to get some antibiotics because the left hand side of my face is swollen with sore throat, earache and headache to match! I never get ill, but think it must be stress that's caused it.
One bonus is, I don't want to and probably can't eat - although I did suck on some chocolate yesterday (keep those dirty minds out please - I just realised how that may sound!)
I'll pop back later and see how you all are, take care all x

KPC, just wondered if you are measuring as well as weighing? The small gain could be a bit of nice lean muscle developing from the dancing and that could be why the clothes are looser! Oh look, Vix has just said the same thing :p

Vix, I fully support your decision to put your exams first. Do whatever you need to do to get through them, then you can come back with more focus. You only have a small amount to lose so it's no problem! Have a fab time at the weekend and Monday!

Bargain babe, you poor thing. Take care of yourself and let us know how you're getting on.

Well, I've managed to catch up on my work finally, so I am planning to get some items prepared for the next cheap ebay listing day :p

  • It's not my official weight in until the morning but I'm not looking forward to it as of today i've put 3lb on. I've had a bad weekend with eating up lots of choc and cheese from Christmas (I was ill from Boxing Day for over a week so nothing got eaten then). However the stilton and apricot cheese on hovis crackers was lovely and the M&S mini choc rolls plus I won't be getting anymore for a long time now so i'm not going to feel too guilty. On the plus side I went to the gym 5 times last week and have been yesterday and today so the exercise is going ok (maybe I could kid myself that the 3lb is muscle?!!!)

I joined for a 5 day trial on nutracheck.co.uk to record what i'm eating as even when I think i'm being healthy I think i'm slipping in things where the calories add up and I saw the reference to foodfocus.co.uk earlier. Just had a look on and it's the same for free - very MSE!! So i've swapped over. I now know how little things add up and although it's a pain measuring everything it's making me realise just how much I do eat. I'll defo have to stick with the exercise as I want to loose 2lbs a week and without the exercise I don't know how i'd cope on the 1350 kcals:eek:

Will be back for weigh in tomorrow hopefully I can drop a lb as a 2lb gain doesn't look quite so bad!

  • Thanks missyg, for the kind thoughts, but I know other regulars are often feeling poorly, and carry on as normal without dwelling on it - hopefully its a one off for me, but I am not a good patient!

I'm back, I may need to have my wonderful wisdom teeth out, but I'm on antibiotics and will go back to the dentist at the end of the week.

Popped into Asda and stocked up on Quorn - most varieties are £1.at the moment, so I got 12! The SA must have thought I was a bit mad, but we all love quorn cottage pie, spog bol etc. (actually I don't use it for a lot else - although I am sure there are other recipies!)

    catch you later

......you should see their faces when I go in. It's not unusual to have 32 Bachelors Pasta n Sauces and 20 bags of Quorn when they are reduced. Asda do the Pasta n Sauce at £2 for 4 very often (and sometimes even £2 for 5), and stocking up is a must.

And I totally agree with Granny, hot bread shouldn't count. Unless of course you are doing SW where they BEAT YOU WITH A BIG STICK if you even look at bread. Especially if it's white.

And that is why I follow SW but don't go to classes .... really really scared of the big stick. (Freudian??? ;) )
