I cook sausages and onions (cut sausage up) put in bottom of my dish, pour a can of baked beans over, top with mash or cheesy mash, and put in the oven till piping hot. I sometimes grate a little cheese over the top too :)

I've done a similar thing with tin tomatoes and onions but I prefer the baked beans!
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

I'm guessing here, but I'd make thick onion gravy stir a tin of beans (leave out some of the juice if it is thin), add some Worcester sauce, herbs or a pinch of chilli to taste. Brown sausage in a pan then put in dish, covering with onion/bean gravy, add mash and dot with butter. Bung in the oven.

Sounds a good way to use up some bangers...:j
  • cheers for the replies that sounds an easy tea to leave out for hubby to bang in oven (rare night out with other mums from school) and kids will be in bed and full of spag bol from freezer sorted thanks again

I make a sausage and tomato pie which is sausages cut up (I normally take the skins off too) and put round the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Pour over a tin of chopped tomatoes (or just plum tomatoes if that's all you've got). Then top with lots of mashed potato. Normally cook it for about an hour because we like lots of crispy bits on the top.
