debt busting just isn't happening for me

I earn OK money but dont waste it !!!!!! it up against a wall, burning my lungs out or clogging my arteries. It goes towards making my future more secure. It sounds like your friend has to scrimp on her food and bills to fuel her vices - there is nothing wise about that - it sounds like necessity. A few more pounds saved for that rainy day or spent on better food (especially for growing children) might be wise.
If I have it wrong then please dont take offense and by all means, set me straight!0 -

She goes clubbing every week, smokes, has takeaways 3 times a week and is going on holiday with her friends in 3 months. She has no credit cards coz she can't get them but never seems to be without. BUT she has always been really godd at budgeting for food and bills. I envy her budgeting skills sometimes, I really wish I could do it.

You ARE doing it. You are setting budgets and at least attempting to meet them. Her budgeting skills have already landed a court admin order. Has she learned from this and started to live responsibly? It seems not.
In the future, when both of your debts are paid off and maybe more money is coming in, who is more likely to run new debts up - you or your cousin?
Stick with it, you're doing fine. :T0 -
£300 over budget is not that bad at all.
Think how much more it would be if you hadnt got a budget in the first place.
More importantly actually realising you've overspent (unavoidably or accidently) indicates that you are very good at managing your money - its when you have no clue how much you've spent that alarm bells should be ringing (try asking your friend how much she's spent this week!).
The fact that you know you've overspent and by how much means you can reign things in sensibly when the opportunity arises to make some relatively painless cut backs. dont beat yourself up about it - you sound like your doing great, especially considering you've had to get through a wedding which is stressful enough!I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!!0
