Brilliant Website for those who do online grocery shopping, ssh dont tell BG's its ere

I came across with website tonight, its extremely useful if you shop online for your groceries, I know this is in the wrong place, but I read your threads and post on them and I wanted to contribute something useful to you. please BG's leave it a few hours before removing.:D

The website "my Supermarket", you import your favourites list from example Tesco and then as you are doing your shopping, it gives you a cheaper alternative, so for example tonight I ordered Charlotte Potatoes costing £1.28 for 1kg, it suggested that I ordered Tesco Organic Potatoes at £1.18 for 1.5kg.

I know I haven't explained it well, but please check it out, it may just save you some money.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT SPAM, I AM A FREQUENT POSTER AND I THOUGHT THIS WOULD HELP OUT THE OS'ers, if they can do their shopping cheaper, the better it is, and its revenge on the supermarkets!

Mumzyof2, I only really use this board and the dfw, so I thought I post it here as well, the OS'ers have helped me in the past with the slow cooker etc, so returning the flavour.:D

I think it is on the right board Merlot IMHO
I don't shop online, but when compliling a shopping list, I can compare the big 3, print my list and then if i'm passing Morrisons or Lidl, I can pop in and pick up any offers.

I use mysupermarket a lot to see what offers are where and to plan my shopping list. It's great!
  • I use the website too and at times it has saved me £20!!!! on a big shop. It also checks your trolley for healthier alternatives, which is some times really useful (although I turn a blind eye sometimes!! )

I too compile my list using the website, then if I want to actually go into the shop myself I print it off and take it with me. Its also handy cos it groups the items into their relevent categories ie dairy, bakery etc so you can work your way round without missing anything! If I want to shop online I send it to Tescos via the website - and sit back & wait for it all to arrive! :D

I'm sure OSers will find it really useful

Been using it since seeing it recommended on here last year, sometimes I find there is a couple of errors.

How did I miss that, it being mentioned on here already...I tend to visit only two boards so if things are not posted on those boards, I miss out, I find the posters on the DFW and OS are very friendly, but someother boards  people are so rude.

    Hi Merlot,

www.mysupermarket.com is a great website....Martin has mentioned it in his Supermarket Shopping article and started a thread on it here

We have been asked us not to post duplicate threads so I've moved this over to the DFW board so that it can be merged with your other thread.

  • Also if you have an ipoints account you get ipoints for transferring your trolley before ordering online.
  • This website it TOTALLY genuis. It proved I could do a shop cheaper at Waitrose than sainsburys or tesco.... and I got my ipoints. I LOVE IT. It also keeps your shopping list, so you dont have to repeat every month.
