Two of our toilet seats have recently broken, they where the oringinal ones that came with the bathroom suite and lasted 7 years. I bought some wooden ones from tesco for 8.00 with metal hinges cheap but not so cheerful. I have also had a more expensive B&Q one but after a few months they all fall to bits. The tesco ones apparently the seat and lid have a habit of not stay up when my husband needs them to He has had a few falling lids mid flow:eek:  . I have had no problem obviously as the lids stay firmly down for me. Anyway I did say that I would aim to find a decent toilet seat this week for my husband. The toilets are normal shape any suggestions where to buy something that may last longer than a few weeks and that has a lid that stays up for DH. Husband did suggest John Lewis but they are 40.00:eek:
