It may seem expensive at £125, but John Lewis have a few Glyndebourne Hampers reduced from £300, If you use the John Lewis code listed in these forums ( a She magazine offer) then this reduces the price even more making it £105. For this you get
Lanson Black Label Champagne, 75cl
Taylor's LBV Port, 75cl
Les Templier Sauvignon Blanc, 75cl
Teacher's Scotch Whisky, 75cl
Les Templier Chardonnay, 75cl
Wine cooler in hunter green
Waiter's friend corkscrew
Stainless steel knives, forks and spoons for 4 place settings
4x white porcelain gold rimmed plates
4x lead crystal wine glasses
4x 100% cotton napkins in Gordon tartan
1x 100% cotton tablecloth in Gordon tartan
6x Tom Smith luxury crackers
Verges de Gascoigne honey and brandy apricots, 150g
Duchy Originals Blackcurrant preserve, 340g
Pommery Mustard Royale, 250g
Taylors of Harrogate rich Italian coffee, 227g
Lindt Swiss Tradition deluxe chocolates, 250g
Coles luxury Christmas pudding, 450g
Dean's lemon curd and oatflake shortbread, 200g
Anton Berg chocolate liqueurs, 235g
Duchy oaten biscuits with rosemary and thyme, 250g
Gardiners Tomatin whisky fudge, 250g
Plus a wicker Hamper. If you divide the items by the amount there are it works out at just over £4 a listed item (counting glasses as one item etc)(including the basket in the numbers). Personally we aim to keep the hamper, plates and cutlery and use some recent ceremony gift vouchers to make this a gift to us. The rest we are dividing up for friends and family gifts for birthdays and christmas (oh, and Easter for the chocolates too). If its for a couple we have combined things, like the shortbread with the apricots/ We split the glasses, giving each with one bottle of wine to sibling gifts. I guess clever people could even sell the hamper on ebay. Anyway, this has provided several good gifts at very good prices and we have gained an amazing hamper for summer time!

looks fantastic, shame I don't have that much to spend on a hamper. Good find though, I'm sure it will be handy for someone

Hugs

I suppose from £300 its a good price:rolleyes: but its hardly MSE, especially in Mid January:eek: most of us are raiding the sofas now before going to Aldi:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -

I did start the whole sentence with the words...... it may seem expensive....
I think when you break each item down into what you actually pay for it then no, its not expensive at all. I have resolved lots of present probs, and my partner and I have a beautiful hamper to use in the summer. Truly - you do get a lot for your money!!
Phew! Did think of Quidco, thank you:D

Good bargain but I just know hubby will put his foot down. He still hasn't forgiven me for the tesco hamper :rotfl:It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission
