Sorry if i'm being thick but what's a non-affiliated link?
Is it a quidco/pigsback thing?
As far as I know an affiliated link means that greyster get's payed if you order by going through his link. Since this isn't allowed on MSE I just copied and replaced his affiliate link with amazons.
Not a silly question I found out the same thing by asking. Since then I've noticed greyster always posts his affiliate link - he should know better really! :rolleyes:0 -
Sorry to ask a daft question but how do you know what to look for to see if its affiliated link:j this money saving is such fun:T0

Look in the link. If there is a piece that looks like somename-21, then it is a UK affiliate link.
This person posts many affiliate links, then amends them once caught.
eg:

If you look at the link in the opening post of this one:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....html?t=658501
You see ... tag=a3p5rokl5a1ole-21
That is the affiliate link.0 -
the rules on affiliate links are quite clear:
"The general and overarching rule, which should always be adhered to, unless there is a specific exemption, is that all referral or affiliate links, or any links which the poster has any form of financial or personal gain from should be on the Referrers Board."
and
"i. If you get a referral benefit: You must declare it. If possible indicate how you gain"
Rules can be read here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/faq.html?faq=affiliate_links#faq_general
greyster seems to be persistently abusing these rules0 -

I'd like to know who in their right mind pays £320 for stainless steel!! Sterling silver I could understand, but steel??? Ah well.....weirdDebt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:0 -
Back on topic, are these worth paying for?
I do need a new cutlery set. At this price I'd expect them to last forever.0 -

I just replaced the posters tag with amazons as per this thread:

Is this not right?0
