Further instore debenhams reductions

Ok, feel free to have a go if in wrong section, but a grabbit it as further reductions on already heavily reduced prices (i think)

was in Debenhams again today (no, i don't work for them ;)) as i was told it was the last day of the sale. they had loads of stock still out at 70% off, and so i asked a member of staff what heppened to all the sale stuff... she said there were further reductions from tomorrow.

can anyone confirm this has happened in previous years? as the girl I asked said she was "pretty sure"

seems like some reallly cheap will be available from tomorrow if this is the case as she said it can go to as much as 90% off, is this right?

hmm, not usually. If it goes to 70% off that is the last reduction to be made. Then (normally) ages later it will get price pointed to 2 or 3 pounds.

All the sale stuff will still be there, but the 20% pos gets taken off.

Some bits though may be price pointed sooner than others.

I got some great bargains in the Oxford Debenhams today- got a set of fancy shot glasses reduced from £15 to just £2 :D, and a big cafetiere for a fiver instead of £35 :j
Usually they will reduce the bits and pieces they have most of and want to get rid of a bit more, but other items- normally clothing- will just be taken off the shelves altogether. That is what they've done in the past anyhow. I'll pop in tomorrow and check.

Trafford Centre, Manchester had four rails of designer childrens-wear all down to £2, £3, and £5 early last week. I spent £80 and got 34 items. John Rocha coat £3, 'Butterfly' swimsuits £2, bridesmaid dress £3. Total billy-bargains. After about 40 minutes of rooting about and with a bag bursting, the nice sales assistant jokingly said, "Are you still here?!!" Birthdays and Christmas sorted for loads of my family now.
  • I've been price checking bits (obviously for work reasons, not for bits I want!) and the hand gun normally tells u when a price drop is coming, I haven't seen any! It just stops being Blue Cross, and becomes CLEARANCE. Crap I know! I keep asking when the next 10% day is, but nothings been said yet. I'm very looking forward to 10% off of sale prices, but can't see it happening for a while :(
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!
