Frozen soup problem

I recently cooked a couple of loads of soup (blended veg ones) and I've found that when I defrost it it separates out into the veg and water, even when reheated it doesn't go back to how it should be.
I've cooked and frozen loads before and never had this happen until now - does anyone have any ideas why? It looks really revolting!
Thanks

Ive had this happen to my homemade soup too. Just stir it back to gether again. I think commercially made soups have chemicals put it to stop it seperating out, but do you really want to eat chemicals? It's a natural product and it soon comes back together again with a quick stir. It's not like it's curdled or something, it's just something that happens.:hello:  please play nicely children !0

Do you defrost the soup fully before reheating it, or reheat from frozen?
I wonder, because I do notice that things can separate when left to slowly defrost.
I reheat soups from frozen in a saucepan on the hob and have had no problems with blended hm veg soups separating.0 -
I'm sure it should be ok if you stir - or if you like give it another whizz in the blender.Resolution:

this alwasy happens to mine and I just stir or reblend it - I think that this is why they add "homoginisers" and "stabalisers" to bought stuff.0

Heya!
This happens whenever I make soup too! I usually leave it to defrost and notice it separates, so I just stir it all back in and then heat it up in the microwave and it seems to turn out ok.:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Happens to mine too.
I'd rather eat a natural HM soup than a chemically filled 'perfect' soup any dayWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
Thanks everyone, I'm glad its not just me, It's weird I've never noticed it before. I'll just whizz it in the blender before I take it to work in the morning.0

A little bit of cornflour may help to stabilise it"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I use a teaspoon or two of cornflour mixed with a little water - stir it into the soup whilst heating and this fixes the problem0

I find soup made with potatos is esp prone to this and soup based on pulses isn't as bad if that's any help for the next batch0
