Hope this is the right place to post for advice. I googled a florist which would deliver same day. The first sponsored link I tried was Flowers for all occasions, ordered flowers and paid by debit card. No flowers arrived, mail returned undeliverable, phone numbers ring off. The website is flowers for all occasions but the receipt came from Scarlets flowers. Have I any recompense or who can I report this too as they are still advertising.
Thanks for your help guys.

You can report them to Trading Standards for that area. But it doesn't sound as though they are still 'trading' (as opposed to advertising which would be pre-paid) very effectively if they're not contactable>
Nothing much you can do about the payment. Always pay by Credit Card for such transactions in the future - you have some redress under Sect 75 protection (but unfortunately only above £100). For such as flowers always use one of the well known names (Interflora / flowers by post / M&S etc)If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

The thing with online florists is that a lot of them are just affiliates. You sign up and get a "ready made" web site and get a commission for any sales.
If you look at a lot of these sites you'll find many are the same, just the names are different. People sign up for one of these sites then find they never get any visitors or sales so give up with them.
The payment you made probably didn't go to the person who runs this site, but to the "mother site", so perhaps the next person up the line has given up too.0 -
You need to report them to your local trading standards office, not the one in the area where the webiste is located. Your local TS office will then liase with another authority.
Most of these websites take your order and do one of three things.
1. Put a bunch of flowers in the post.
2. Relay your order through either Teleflorist or Interflora
3. Use yell.com and find a florist in the area, give them the order taking a cut of the money you paid.0
