Does anyone have a (simple!) recipe for Jam roly poly? I really fancied this yesterday but twas £2-odd in tesco, and the MSE in me balked at that :o

I've found a couple on t'internet, but they all seem to wildy vary from each other, so wonder if anyone would be so kind as to share their own tried & tested with me?

    Cheapest i had found was £1.50 which is alot when theres 5 to feed. I end up buying 2

    Easiest recipe ever, good luck, should cost you much less than £2 :D Isn't it lovely when they make you feel better by putting a picture of a healthy salad above the recipe, no guilt there then :rotfl:

    The recipe freezes well if you want to double it incase you need more then freeze left overs (I do them sliced ready for a quick & easy pud)

    Don't know how many it would feed but I've seen them in the freezer at Asda for £1.

    Thanks noonesperfect. I will get my friend to pick me up a couple on Tuesday when she goes shopping.Along with shredded suet to make the one on lil_me s receipe link:D

    Just to throw in, I've had the Asda one and it's bloody nice!

    I saw an leaflet for Iceland who are doing Aunt Bessies jam roly poly for 75p on offer at the moment and they are delicious.

    I was just going to post on here that my friend picked me 2 of these up today. 2 for £1.50:D
