Hi!
I can't help with this question specifically, but I've been playing badminton on and off for 15 years.
In terms of a first racket / trying out badminton I think you are probably looking at around £25 to £30 budget. The really cheap rackets are made of steel and can / do bend (the head loses it's shape usually) and are heavy, therefore they are to be avoided. They can be spotted by looking at where the shaft joins the head there will be an additional 'plate' to strengthen that join, composite rackets won't have that plate.
Decent rackets can be acquired from reasonable sized sports shops. In my part of the world I know a number of people who are happy with the mid range own brand rackets from Decathlon. Sports and Soccer / Sports World in general are cheap.
If you want to go upmarket people who stuff me out of sight on the badminton court recommend Cramp Sports (www.crampsports.com) as having some very good rackets and being helpful on the phone and in person.
For what it's worth I currently use a Carlton racket and have been more than happy with my old Yonex racket.
I hope that helps
