CHIBUKU Shake Shake return to Barfly, in Liverpool, on Saturday 19th January for their first party of 2008 - a special residents party - and we have two pairs of tickets to give away.
It's fast approaching that time of the year again when the speculation starts. The anticipation, the wondering - the forlorn expression, the penitent souls waiting for Chibuku's hallowed return.
It usually starts a couple of weeks after the dust has drifted down from the rafters and settled upon the riotous NYE party, when organs have recovered, brains realigned and the thirst for partying appears like a itch you can't quite scratch. And whilst the end of January would usually provide this salvation with bedfellows Circus, 2008 already has led the two talismanic clubs down different paths, and for the first time in a long time the annual residents' party has been shelved...
But thankfully the powers that be have bestowed upon a febrile Liverpool a singular session of pure, unadulterated and virginal Chibuku residential experts to kick start 2008 into some semblance of club normality. It's no easy task to complete, but six hand-picked musical commandos are on deck duty on Saturday 16th January for some Wandy, Emma, Leo Belchetz, Futurebound, Tane and new resident Rich Furness to loosen up some stiff joints and banish the last remnants of the festive season.
Full line-up and competition
