Hi
Does anyone have experience of revision guides for Scottish Standard grades? I'm not sure which ones are best, and where to get them etc. Amazon have a few fom different series, but I'd guess it might be best for then all to be the same format etc.
Any advice/experience gratefully received!
Many thanks
Shona

Hi Shona,
I'm not sure if you are looking for past papers or studying techniques. The SQA website does have some info and past papers.
Info on studying see > http://www.sqa.org.uk/sqa/13853.html
2007 papers this link > http://www.sqa.org.uk/pastpapers/findpastpaper.htm
This links to Maths but just use the dropdown for other subjects.
It's worth a general look around this site to see what else you could use.

Thanks for those links.
I was also looking for the study guides - there's a few - like 'hot to pass standard grade maths...', one called 'revision notes' etc...
do you have experience of those?
thanks.0 -
Hi Shona,
It's a good few years since I sat my standard grades but I found the
Chemcord guides quite good.
http://www.chemcord.co.uk/standardgrade/index.htm
They are almost like the main points to take in to pass. A few of my teachers at school actually ordered them in for us so they obviously thought they were worth it.
Hope that helps.0 -
thanks
they seem to do a few subjects.
Some are v obscure - don't seem to be any technological studies standards grade guides anywhere, but that's one we could do with....0 -

Music and tech studies are the problem to get books etc for especially.
Thanks

The above music one is one my neice used and she got an A!! We asked the school which ones they thought were the best and bought accordingly. WH Smith usually do a good offer coming up for the exams if you keep an eye out for it. It's not exactly well publicised!! Hope you get some and good luck to your son for the exams. The victims we know so well
