Seems about the going rate for wombles. Worth the money if you get a bit of extra cleaning thrown in or a free performance of Minuetto Alegretto. Can I help?0 -

You mean a spam (unsolictited) email? As others have said, never ever EVER respond to :spam:(and well done for removing the link). Do you know where it comes from? It comes from computers just like yours, which have been taken over by viruses and spyware (often carried by spam itself) and spend all the time, without their owners' knowledge, stealing email addresses and pumping out unwanted email to those addresses. The unwanted email will include phishing attempts containing links pretending to be for internet banking but really going to fake sites which steal your banking details. Alternatively, these "zombie" computers can be programmed to organise "denial of service" attacks on websites such as has happened to moneysavingexpert.com, in order to extort ransoms or censor messages. Or they can be programmed to encrypt their owners' local files, popping up a window demanding money to release the data. These computers form huge "botnets" run by organised crime gangs. Do you think companies who indulge in such illegal activities can be trusted?Lickul_miss wrote: »just got this in an email
Read the "Boulder Pledge" and always remember to follow it. It's very simple. Even better, don't use a Windows computer and you will be immune to 99% of attempts to take over your PC.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
