Sony 32in Lcd Tv £449 (£150 Off)

Hi all

Just bought this tv and am really pleased with it. But.........

Website states it comes with a free 3 year warranty, however nothing about this in the box.

Has anyone else got one and know how to prove they have a 3 year warranty?

When I asked about it at the till they told me it was sony offering this, not argos and that there would be details in the box. The box only includes details on how to claim free 12 month accidental cover from sony and how to register it.

I have emailed the argos website as the shop is now closed.

On your receipt it should have offer leaflet *** and ***
i think the numbers are 153 and 182 although not 100%.
One of these leaflets are for the free 3 year warranty that you should have been issued at the time of the sale. Providing that they sold you the TV under its correct catalogue number which shoud have the prefix numbers of 529 or 536 then you should have been given these leaflets if not then go into sotre and explain that you purchased the tv and you need leaflet 153 whuch i`m sure is the right one.
    Hope this helps

    Thanks

That is on my receipt so will go back to the store tomorrow to query about the leaflet.

Forgot to mention that there was also an offer for a half price wall bracket with this tv so got it for £15.

When you phone the number on the back of the leaflet for the free 3 year warranty and it asks for the original purchase price, give them the price that the tv would have been before the discount as otherwise you will get cover upto the value that you paid rather than what it would be to replace.
Hope this helps as when i got my tv it was in the sale and a substituted model that had buuilt in freeview and that would have cost nearly £300 more so i gave that price ;)
  • make sure you go back and pick up your leaflet asap as i had a customer in yesterday whom home delivery had failed to send her the leaflet so as she hadn't registered the warranty within 45 days (why would she when she hadn't known she had to) they were saying she couldn't get the guarantee as her tv was 14 months old and its now faulty so at £800+ shes stuck with a broken tele :O

    its a little blue leaflet
