my dads birthday in a week or so and some of us are going to club together to buy him an mp3 player - have had a look around and it seems like IRiver is the best make? He is not impressed by fashion statements and would probably dislike an ipod for this reason. To be honest I dont really understand mp3 players - the basic Iriver is £200 which is way too expensive - they seem to go down to about £50 on Argos.
Any tips? why are some mp3 players cheaper than others?
any recommendations?
forgot to say - he is a gardener so whatever make i got it would have to be tough, able to withstand weird temperatures, a bit of damp, and the possiblity it might be dropped out of a tree at some point!!
Thank you
