  • There are click throughs on lots of sites - see my sig! Pigsback does have one once in a while, but lots more. The idea is that you get miniscule amounts of money (1p - 10p) for reading an ad or using a search engine. These amounts add up and then you're a millionaire!!
Well, not quite, but it all helps!

I discovered these sites over a year and a half ago. I also discovered that for a lot of them you can get paid for the people you "introduce" to the site. This involves you getting your won "referral link" and if someone clicks on it and joins you get paid. But they have to earn the minimum amount to get paid. In other words. if you have to earn £5 before you can "cash out" then I don't get paid for referring you until you earn £5.

After 6 months, or more, of joining these sites, and doing the clicks, but also pushing my referral link on the referrers board I had 216 referrals. But this only includes the three sites that actually tell you who you have referred. I may have a lot more.

I gave up bothering with this about a year ago and to date only 5 of my referrals have actually made it to the minimum payment level . The others have either never made any money or just made a few pennies and gave up.

None of the sites that don't tell you how many people clicked your link and joined the site actually paid me a referral fee.

So I can only conclude that of the 216 people I "persuaded" to join these sites only 5 stuck with them, the rest gave up.

All I can assume from this is that, like me, most people think it's a waste for time.

I gave up because of the tracking, I'd go to a site and click on (say) shopping com or kelkoo once per day, thinking I was getting 10p per click. Then later I would find that most of them "didn't track". So instead of having 70p in my account, I'd only have 20 or 30p.

I would complain the referrals board but get told that "cash back such as this should be regarded as a bonus not a right, if you get it that's great, but don't complain if you don't"

Well excuse me, if a site says "click this link once per day and we will pay you 10p each time you click it". Then at the end of the week they say "you may claim you clicked for 7 days in a row, but our software only recorded 3 clicks, so we are only going to pay you 30p"

My reply was two words "reproduction & travel"!!!!!!!!!!!
