Contact lense trials free?

Planning on going to Disney this summer. For those who have been I wear glasses and they get soaking on water rides!!

Is it possible to buy contact lenses but only short term as opposed to a long contract? Preferably cheap!

ps I have worn lenses years ago.

You could also buy a month a daily disposables, although most opticians won't give you any contacts without an up tp date prescription.

Legally you need to provide an up to date contact lens prescription before you can obtain lenses. Even then you can only purchase the lens type supplied and fitted by that optician. Once you have been fitted with a lens type by your optician you would then be free to purchase the same lens type and prescription from anywhere you wish, ie online. The prescription would have validity for a period of upto 12 months following the initial examination and final fitting.

I went to Specsavers who gave me a free trial on a pair of lenses, then advised me to wear them occasionally (I used to wear lenses that you could sleep in but was advised against these). I bought a months supply of daily disposables for about £30, and they have lasted over a year because I only wear them on certain occasions. I can just pop in and get more when I run out, so I just buy them as and when I need them.
