I don't know the prices for salons. But as someone already said veet wax strips for lips are good. These are the ones I use http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1006512&classificationid=1039098 boots £4.59 for 20. I cut mine in half and use half for each side of my top lip. Oh cut them before pulling the two strips appart. They do a good job. Just remember to clean the area first with maybe a toner to remove any oil off the skin. Then dust with unperfumed talc. Then when pulling off support the skin and remove against the hair growth direction. So in the lips case pull off towards the other side of the face.
Eyebrow waxing is good, but I'd get that bit done at a salon as trying to do your own would be risking in making a mistake. Even if you know what your doing its not easy to get it right on yourself. Also the only way to do it yourself at home would mean buying a warm wax heater etc.0 -
I have to say that the tesco ones (small size) for sensitive skin for face and bikini areas are really good... better than the veet ones in my opinion and slightly cheaper. Can't vouch for the bigger ones but i'd imagine they are the same quality.
You can get waxing kits for eyebrows but like trace_567 says best get someone else to do it - hard to judge what you are doing with one eye closed!!!!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
I get my eyebrows done £7 a time, or £14 for 3 when you pay in advance.0

I'm 'llergic to Veet products, even the sensitive ones
Tried doing it myself but always miss bits and it annoys me forevermore when I do "Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I used to get my bikini line done in a bit owned by a woman I work with - but she only ever did half of it and the rest was still visible outside knickers.
Now go to another salon run by a girl I went to school with, she does the bikini line and then asks if you want it any "higher" meaning further in. It is not as painful as you think and any beautician will have total confidentiality (always try them out with a wee white lie and if it gets back to you, you know where it started!!!).
Every 4 weeks, half leg, bikini (as far as you want it), eyebrows, and underarms, £28 - her prices have just gone up "Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

I have my eyebrows threaded for £3.50 (it used to be £3!) and top lip done for £2. I did used to pay about £12 for the two!0
