is usa coke nicer? had it 20p a can in pound stretcher but i bought a normal can instead?

European coke is different to USA coke.

USA coke changed its recipe to high fructose corn syrup in the 1980s, and I think they use sugar glucose in the rest of the world. The sneaky coca-cola people made the switch when they brought back "Classic Coke" after the "New Coke" disaster. The high fructose corn syrup is cheaper than sugar, and tastes slightly different, so some people in the USA go accross the border to Mexico to get Coke with sugar in.
  • I am basically looking to buy cheap and sell on to pizza shops and butty vans, so need cans that dont say they came from a multi pack. have been looking online but need to get it cheeper than the rest to make a profit.

    Any ideas peeps ?

What sort of volumes? If your volumes were large enough then you could by direct. Costco would give you a constant supply.

Try the website someone posted earlier.

I have heard of people buying short date stock at cheaper prices and selling that. Have to dig around the net to find sources.

as far as i understood it, coke just supply the concentrate, each country's distributer would make the coke sold in shops, and the main reason for taste differences was the amount of concentrate used and the water used in each country tastes different:confused:

u dont have to be running a buisness to join costco. if u fall within a certain category u can join - some from top of my head are working for City council, teacher, doctor lawyer etc.. or if u know sum1 who has got a membership, u can get a card as an additional for £11.

Anyone can join costco, i'm a member. You just don't get certain benefits the others do like getting in the shop before 12o'clock.

If you are able to join MAKRO 24 can's cost £5.79 + vat

Pepsi is often £2.45 for 6 BOGOF at Morrisons making it £4.90 for 24 inc. VAT. Might aswell get it from here and save on transport costs as theres usually a local store.

sorry to burst your bubble, the pizza shops and the like buy there drink from the same places you would be buying from.in the shop i worked at the suppliers who supply alot of the other things cheese, ect supply and deliver it to the shop for free.we also usually have suppliers falling over themselves to offer us better prices for our goods to swap suppliers to them.also offers such as order x amount of packs get a free or heavely discounted drinks fridge ect.

last time i checked it was £4 something before vat for coke.sometimes its a little cheaper at the supermarkets but who wants the hasle of going to the shops ect when your trying to run a shop to save a few pence.

I believe this is correct as it was confirmed by a friend who was an EO of Coca-cola in the US, then Mexico.

Selling a countries water back to the residents at a highly inflated price by adding some syrup with ingredient x ! A great idea - I wish I'd thought of it. :D
