Click edit, then advanced. That lets you update the title - and shows lots of extra smilies!

There's another way of editing the title - when you're looking at the list of thread titles, double-click just to the right of your thread title. It should put a box around it and then you can edit it.
Just a bit quicker than having to use the Advanced Editor
