laptop with tablet/slate facility

Want one with a big/usual laptop sized screen. Best place to buy please.

Have you used a tablet pc before? most of the time they are used being held in your weak arm and you work it with your stronger arm. I can inform you that you don't want to be carrying anything over 12" around in that way for any extended period. so look at what your buying, do you really need a tablet? or are you looking for somthing you can use as a touch screen PC and thought the only solution was a tablet?

They are not that common to start with, what are you looking for do you want high spec or will put up with somthing that will work? and have a seperate pc/laptop for day to day stuff? in which case you could just buy a smaller tablet and transfer stuff to it when needed to be used as a tablet? the low end ones are about £700+ the higher end your looking at about £1100 - £1400 you can go silly and get them more than that but the screen sizes are still down at 12.1"

I have a HP pavillion 1000tx bought from costco for about 650 in december. It has a 12in screen that twists and then folds back on itself becoming a tablet. John lewis sell similar. It also has a touch screen, and other bits like hand writting regonision and fingerprint regonision. We have a child with special needs which is why we went fot it.
