Trying to buy a Lap top - who knows about them

I have a 91 year old mum in a care home with few activities. Does anyone know of a laptop or similar so that she could play solitaire. I think thats the only thing I would need from it. Perhaps there is a sort of game machine that could do it- any help appreciated- joanna0

This is a very cheap option, if her eyes are OK for something that small

Or a Nintendo DS and this would be about £120:

A few months ago I bought a Dell lap top, and it has been nothing but trouble. It has been sent back four times and each time has come back with huge faults; the biggest ones being that they sent the wrong hard drive, which wouldnt fit in the lap top, and the wrong plug, so the battery would not charge.
Phoning the technical support, you get lots of reassurance but little actual help, and emailling them just gets ignored.
I tried to send it back after the fourth fault but they said that I couldnt because my seven-day return guarantee has passed!
The call centre is in India, which has made communication quite difficult.
Since buying the lap top, I have spoken to several people who have told me the dell lap tops are known for it!!!
So I seem stuck with an £800 pile of rubbish0 -
Thanks stulee for the ideas- much appreciated. I'll look at the nintendo first- btu as you say I really need something much bigger- she has tried it on a laptop with me and that is more the size needed. My old laptop collapsed though.

If Solitaire is all she wants, then maybe a secondhand laptop off Ebay is all she needs. There are plenty of people buying upgrade machines and then selling off their old ones. Maybe even try a plea on Freecycle too?0

Happyfaces (and everyone else looking for a laptop)
For the needs described here - photos, itunes, internet etc.- why not consider a macbook. I was sceptical, but bought one a couple of months ago, refurb fro the apple shop, and I think it was the best £580 I ever spent!
Seriously!
Go on, take a gamble...
