Tesco codes

I also have around 8-10 codes banked, yet at checkout it says I have some codes that I am unable to use with this order.   :-/
As far as I know the codes arent the ones that stipulate a £50 spend - I'm trying to use the plain "£5 off" codes.

Any idea why the codes arent being accepted? Have these worked for anyone else?

Could it be that you have a number of codes that all expire on the same date and you're just within that date, thus invalidating all except the one code it will accept?  This has happened to me a number of times.  

The site may also be set up to only accept one code per expiry date (though I've never tracked this).

Failing this, no other explanations from me I'm afraid.

also about the sainsburys codes can you use them on the actual tesco website?

No, these codes are only for the foodhall and yes you can use Sainsburys codes on the Tesco website.

Judi, have you actually done this yourself?  I've tried a number of times to put Sainsbury's codes into Tesco.com ... each time it comes up as "unrecognised".  I've also noticed others who've written of the same problem.

I have inputted codes meant for Sainsburys on my online shop.

First code posting, so hope I give all the right info.

Been using Tesco's off and on for a few months now (and yes I have had to check the delivery, but every mistake, not too many, has been acknowledged and refunded). Have frequently had the "you haven't used it for a while have a fiver off" email, hence the on and off as I don't do it unless I get the delivery for free!

Anyway just got their "you haven't tried the new site yet here's a tenner off" email. So code is:

XX-PN7K valid till 21/11/04

It may only be valid for those that have ordered in the past, but ... hey ... give it a go anyway!
