you should have booked up in butlins, you would have no probs with entertainment,
it has a mega soft play area for under 5's and swimming it's all free.
we went in april and have just booked again for sept my son is 3 and loves it0 -
If you are heading to Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells (huge market and theme park deffo worth a visit only 3 miles from Skeg !) pick up a local paper either the Standard or Target they are usually discount vouchers for buy £12 ride tokens get £12 free best to check the paper before you buy as the adds seem to alternate each week between papers.
As for places to eat the Pier is cheap you can get Dino's burger and chips for 99p quite nice too.
If you are staying a while you can get a day pass for Butlins there are usually discount vouchers "free kid entry" on the back of the car park tickets.0 -
We are going to Butlins. I cannot be around smoke as it makes me quite poorly so with most on the shows etc being in the bar type areas, especially at night I dont get to enjoy them much2007 is my getting slim year

not happy with skegness butlins lately ... its getting well ran down , dirty in places aswell , butlins need to wake up as several years ago i couldnt fault the place
commenting on the post above ... given the amount of children that frequent the shows i find its a disgrace that smoking is not banned from all the indoor areas
high amount of smokers aswell , which just highlights the type of people who tend to book at butlins (dont kill me ... its the truth)
we went gold 6 months ago ..... and will not be going again .0 -
Have to agree about smoking went to Haven Wild Duck last year its a small park with only 1 entertainment complex but there were no no-smoking areas in this day and age i found that unaceptable they even had Family Friendly stickers on the doors ! , i did complain saying it wasnt dificult to put in a no smoking area, the little kiddies were dancing infront of the stage and loads of adults about 2ft away puffing away0

Reds in Skeggy (evening entertainment) is strictly no-smoking ... Went there myself a few weeks back ...
If you're going self-catering, it's worth noting that the on-site shops are pretty limited in selection and quite pricey, and eating out, the pies in the chip shop are lovely, the toasties from the Skyline too, but we found that the service and quality of the food in the Sun & Moon was abysmal, specially considering the price! But ... there is a Tesco about 5 minutes drive away, and they accept up to 5 vouchers for products that you haven't bought ...
Teehee, does that make me look cheap, admitting I took vouchers away with me? :rotfl:Thought is creative. Think beautiful thoughts, create a beautiful world.0 -
i think they should ban smoking from the skyline the amount of people smoking over all the kids at the pupet castle was appauling,
and in the chalet the loo seat would not stay up, so every time my 3yr old wanted a wee, we had to hold the seat up for him (could have had a nasty accident)
if you plan to fry an egg? i suggest you take your own non stick pan as they are scoured to heel0 -
San Carolo's Italian Restaurant is in Boston, about 25mins away, and tonight is Steak Night, 3 courses for £10.00, we are off to try it tonight (as a moneysaving night out)as we havn't been out for months ! The menu is fab and caters for all.

Just got back from Butlins at Skegness! Have to admit that the choice of food for self-catering options was pretty poor and very over-priced.
As for vouchers, the local Standard had vouchers for buy £18 of Fantasy Island tokens get £18 worth free. The main tourist info guide had the same offer but buy £12 and get 312 free. (Pick a copy up from Tourist Info.) It also had a voucher for free child's entry to the Seal Sanctuary. (Under twos would be free anyway.)
The leaflets in Hildreds shopping centre at Skegness had tokens at the back for £1 off cost of day entry to Butlins per adult and £5 off the cost of a pampering session within Butlins.0
