I have booked accommodation in France via Active Hotels.com. They are a British company, the price quoted is in euros for both bookings. Now I initially gave them Tesco credit card details but now wish to change this to my Nationwide credit card, if it is going to save me the loading charges. Do they take their cut and then pass on rest to hotel. I was wondering whether perhaps if I cancelled my booking through Active Hotels, and then booked direct with hotels and paid in Euros direct I may make a saving. Anyone got any ideas?

Cancel as long as you're not charged, BUT no until you contact the hotel direct and get a quote off them, if the quote works out the same ASK for a discount, the worst they can say is no?!?! Last few times I've booked and either got a discount or an upgrade to a better room!2p off is still 2p off!0
