External DVD Writer

Hi
I was wondering if anybody knows where to get a cheap dvd writer.....I really an external one. I know you can buy internal writers and buy a casing/leads but everywhere I've looked for these has been expensive. Anybody know where to get a cheap external dvd writer? Or a casing for under £20?

Plenty of enclosures around but all seem to be just over £20, even the ones on Ebay. Not sure if this would be a suitable alternative.

This Liteon Looks good (£100 in PCW). I was looking at Bigpockets and bigpockets seem a bit cheaper for blank media. Anybody know if this drive is any good?

Liteon used to be excellent during the CD writing days, but they aren't so good in the DVD writing industry.

SVP Communications (https://www.svp.co.uk) have a internal NEC 3540 drive for £29.99 plus a Sumevision drive enclosure for £19.99 (Which supports both USB2 and Firewire, the cheaper version which does not have firewire is awaiting stock). So basically £50 for the pair.

And here is the good part - if you order before Wednesday using the 'economy' courier (Buyers Club Option) you get the order shipped for just £1.99 plus VAT

You could even order some blank discs at the same time!

Easy to put the drive in the enclosure too, once you manage to get inside the enclosure

P.S - Order the black NEC 3540 as it looks fantastic in the casing...I have a NEC 3500 black in my enclosure and it goes perfectly with the black and silver finish on the enclosure
