Any wedding breakfast menu ideas????

Does anyone have any cheap ideas for the food at the wedding breafast. The orginal plan was to have fish and chips wrapped in a newspaper style with photos of me and my wife to be so be can browse at them when they want. However, my evil mum has put a stop to that saying that she dosn't like chips and that they will be all cold before you get them served.

I know, its my mum, they are aways a pain. So does anyone have any other ideas that we can look at. We are having up to 65 people at the wedding breakfast. We don't want to spend too much, maybe £5 a head if possible

Do it, just don't let her know until she comes to eat it

Seriously though, we have gone for a BBQ option, which is costing £10 a head for the basics & we have added in extras to take it up to £15.

A buffet can be done fairly cheaply & doesn't have to be about egg rolls & vol-au-vents. I also seem to remember reading a bit of advice on here about buffets that suggested you do not need to cater per head. but for about 90% of your guests because buffets are always overcatered. HTH.
