Tickets to see British Sea Power...

... at the Czech Embassy, tonight, with an after show party at the Gate Cinema in a private room.
It was a great prize, but my partner couldn't go.
I tried at least 9 friends and they couldn't make it. I didn't want to go on my own, called them up to see if they could pass the tickets on, but it was getting late for them at that point I think.
So, the prize was wasted.
This is the fifth time since last September that I have had a call on the day of the event.
Luckily, I have been flexible enough to be able to get to the others.
At the last one, which I was able to go to, I found out from the PR employee that they only get passed the names on the day, hence the last minute phone calls. One of the winners of that one didn't turn up.
It is such a shame that the comp organisers can't finish the comps, or inform the PR peops, a day or two earlier. They'd get a better take-up rate that way.
Ah well, it added to my £2008 target!:T

God my husband would have killed to go to this gig.....He tries to see them everywhere but this was a very limited gig (only 40 tickets went on public sale)!!!0

Ticket events do give short notice, itsnt there anyone on here that could have used them
