Shower Gel for 9p

Hi, cannot find an Asda Grabbit or bargin thread, so mods please move if this is in the wrong place.

Needed some shower gel - so while in Asda I scoured ( pardon the pun) the shelves for bogofs etc....and spotted.

Asda, Smart Price Shower Gel - normal price 23p, but sel said 9p - and thats what it scanned at.

Green one ( couldn't see any other colour, so don't know if green is the only one they do) cheap to start with, but smells good to me, and for 9p - no excuse for not keeping clean :D

Stocked up, but left plenty for others.;)

On a side note, also got lucky tonight and managed to get quite a few sell-by-date reductions, as I just happened to be there when the man with the gun was doing the reductions.:T
Anyway. First time ever my trolley has been mugged.

When I got to the till and was packing my bargins, realised all the stuff I had put into the trolley hadn't managed to survive to the checkout. I've been robbed

Had to smile though. I was happy with the bargins I had got, but wondered who could be so desperate that they took stuff from someone elses trolley  .
Wouldn't mind but it wasn't even food/drink, and I am such a soft touch if they had asked me, I would probably have offered it to them anyway.:o

Must dash - I need to have a shower ;)

What a rotten thing to do. If it was fresh food, I hope it choked them.:D Thats not need, that's greed.

Lidl "sport" shower gel is 13p all the time (500ml I think) and it works well.

    Edit: sorry, 300ml.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

Are you one of these people who lets go of your trolley? Some people do that, leave the trolley and wander off. Or maybe somebody passing thought yours was the bargains trolley if you had a good haul.

I never let go of my trolley, some !!!!!! might either nick it to use, or might spot something I've gone to the trouble of finding and they want one and don't know which aisle it's in!
  • Thank your lucky stars you didn't have a pound coin in the trolley or it might have disappeared altogether :D

  • In the muggers defence I was once in a supermarket and stopped to look in what i presumed was a basket of special offers until my daughter pointed out that I was actually looking in someone elses trolley:eek:

I was in Asdas week before Xmas and just managed to grab the last turkey, beating an old boy of about 85 by a few seconds. The nasty old sod started hitting me with his walking stick and ranting and raving. Store staff tried to blame me for starting on him and nearly threw me out!!! Kept the turkey though....
Just because you used to be you think everybody else is, don't you?

    Love it !!:rotfl:

Sa had warned me moments earlier that they often have to call security to break up fights....I thought he was exaggerating, he clearly wasn't !

No I didn't leave my trolley - only turned away as one does to scan the shelves. Most of it was full of shower gels with no reduction stickers on them, so don't think it was a 'mistake'.
I have done the opposite before - put shopping into someone elses trolley thinking it was mine.

Never mind, made me smile anyway. Also grateful that I am not in such desperate straights that I have to resort to these tactics - yet ;)

I would of demanded that the staff look at the cctv and make them apologise!!
