replacement or repair remote for Daytek DVD (from Amazon)

any idea where to get a replacement remote for [font=verdana,arial,helvetica]Daytek P818 Multi-region DVD Player? or can a faulty remote be fixed/

I bought the dvd player from Amazon over a year ago, sadly not a bargain afterall as the remote is unreliable so we can only operate the DVD player by the limited buttons on the machine facsia, there's no arrow keys! [/font]:doh:[font=verdana,arial,helvetica][size=-1][size=+1]

Thus son has been watching Toy Story in German as there's no way to scroll around before hitting play !

I've searched the remote replacement sites mention on similiar threads but they don't seem to supply replacements ( even universal ones ) for this brand
