John Lewis newcastle starts Saturday 2nd also. I think its the same nationwide. Their vey strict with their policies, whatever one store does or has, all other stores must also have the option to. (so as not to be disadvantaged).0

Can confirm will start the same day in all stores - I should know I work for the Partnership

Linens is always popular
They do have "clearance" (reduced items)
But look out for "Special Purchase" items as well which is specially bought in stock
Of course people either love or hate John Lewis a bit like peoples views on Ikea

Also remember that John Lewis will be matching other stores "sale" prices due to the Never Knowingly Undersold policy.
I myself shall probably be getting covered in fluff working in the floor coverings department at Oxford Street on the Saturday, back to my usual desk in Gift List on Sunday, then getting pushed and shoved around by customers in the linens scrum on the Monday and Tuesday. Scary stuff! Thankfully I'm not in linens on the first day of clearance as that's usually a bit mental.0 -
Last year the John Lewis sale worked out well for me. I bought a cot for £100. They messed up the order and sold it to some one else. They then gave me a lovely huge cot to make up for the mistake (not in the sale and worth £300!)
Bed linin is cheap in their sale, so are clothes and children's shoes.0 -
