Experian credit report?

Tonight I checked my and OHs credit reports, all 3 online with checkmyfile. For both of us experian hold no data at all. Its as if we have no accounts and no searches ever performed. On a couple of occasions we've been turned down for cards and loans, and each time a letter comes stating they use experian etc...

Now for both the other reports, callcredit and equifax we have excellent scores. Is there anyway I can get experian to change the infomation they hold? Or is it down to my credit providers?

Makes no sense does it? I wouldn't mind, but its stopping me getting credit from certain people, so its causing problems now.

  • I have the same thing with experian (and you can see from my signature the problem isn't lack of credit!!) - will be interested to see if anyone has got credit put on their checking file.

poorandindenial-do lloyds report to any of the 3 credit file companies for you? Both me and OH bank with them and have loans with them, yet they aren't shown on either of our reports. I have plenty of active accounts too, I just don't get this experian thing.

my lloyds is on callcredit & equifax. OD's don't go on the reports though I think.
  • My Lloyds stuff appeared on Call Credit but not Experian, am still waiting for Equifax (I have done it the send £2 way as I couldn't be bothered faffing around registering and cancelling for online - not very MSE I know) but will let you know, it should be here in the next couple of days. A friend of mine's OH had the same problem with his Lloyds stuff not showing but her Lloyds stuff was fine (Experian)

My smile OD is on it though. I might ask lloyds, but I don't imagine I'll get far!
