Bose

My O/H has a special birthday coming up and I was thinking of buying him a bose player. Does anyone know where I can get a good deal?
Many Thanks

    hi carmen,
i sold a bose CD wave player on ebay a year ago,
one thing you got to remember, BOSE products arent cheap at all, i sold my wave cd player for near to £300, and thats on an ebay price. this is still the price range that they're going for on ebay.

i think house of fraisers sell them, but they're prices are steep. have a look at this company: https://www.hiwayhifi.com they tend to have good prices of bose products. or even give https://www.kelkoo.co.uk or https://www.pricerunner.co.uk a go, these are price comparison websites.

    hope it helps,

    Skiddy

OMG Skiddy, I see what you mean, so expensive  Can I ask why you sold yours? I read the reviews on the Creative 740 and most were quite positive, do you have experience of this product?
All advice gratefully recieved ( It's a jungle out there!)

i sold mines because i got it as a gift and then realised how much it was worth. i wasnt able to cope with the fact that iv got a £300 alarm clock and cd player in one!

so i thought id cash it in, your paying for the brand with bose and the superb quality of the sound but, many people might pass out when they find out the price, especially if they havent heard of BOSE's reputation.

dont have any experience with the creative 740,
    hope this helps,

There's a Bose outlet shop at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth, but it's still expensive! They put these ads in the Sunday supplements, but never mention the price!

Thank you hilstep and liverbird...I know that Bose have a great sound butttt I cannot justify paying that kind of money _pale_ ...and O/H would go mad if I did! I'm sure there is a good, cheaper alternative out there?

Well, I listened to a whole load of Bose kit, and wasn't at all impressed. As many good reviews on the net, you'll probably find as many bad reviews....

Before you spend lots of money on kit, make sure you listen to it with the music you normally listen to - take your music along for the demo. Listen to different systems and then you decide what sounds best to you.
