I had opened bank account with Nationwide a week before I went bankrupt but when I went there they said it was frozen and weren't sure if I could use as I hadn't told them I was going to be bankrupt. My OR sent them a letter saying it would benefit me to be able to keep them and they've agreed. Pinkpyjamas03

Pink - It might be worth opening a Barclays or Co-op account because once Nationwide HO finds out your BR they may close your account. If it was me I'd feel better being prepared for it.

  • I have just been made BR - got my interview next week - mine stemned from when I split from my wife and kids 8 years ago - went of the rails - head in the sand - selfemployed bad business partners - robbing peter to pay paul etc - trouble is she wants credit card statements and stuff that I destroyed years ago and only have debt collectors letters etc - also I am not 100% sure who all my creditors are as some go back 5 - 6 years, will this all cause me a problem do you think?

You're probably better off starting a new thread so people can answer your questions otherwise it might get lost :)

Just give the OR what you have. Anything extra they need they can get. It just makes their life easier if you can supply stuff.. Anything you miss off will still be included in your BR should they try and crawl out of the woodwork later so don't worry. The OR's have seenit all.

If you have any other questions just start a new thread and ask away. There is usually someone around who will be able to offer support or help.
