Chemo - Ideas for meals

A friend is cooking for her father who has to have chemo soon. Does anyone have any recipes ideas for meals that are good to have when on chem? Many thanks!

    Hi cookie, no recipes for you I'm afraid as it's not something I've experienced. But a quick google came up with a book called Eating Well Through Cancer: Easy Recipes & Recommendations During and After Treatment http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eating-Well-Through-Cancer-Recommendations/dp/0961088877 might be worth seeing if the library can get it in.
  • My dad is having chemo at the minute, and they have advised him to have red meat and greens to keep his iron levels up. He has been having chemo for about 4 months now and finishes at the end of April.

    The Chemo nurses should tell him what he can and cant have though, and with my dad there were lots of things that he didnt fancy eating due to the various side effects.
