I'm finding FF a bit frustrating

Now that I have FF as my browser, there is one aspect that is a pain. To get to my special favourites, those I use everyday, it's a case of:-
clic on Bookmarks
scroll down six lines to "From Internet Explorer"
from which a large window of Favourites is shown
I then need to scroll down to AA or AAA which are folders containing the sites I visit frequently daily.
I compare this to IE which has easier access. But before you state the obvious, no I don't wish to revert back to IE. I just wish FF had easier access.

on the book marks tab there should be 'organise bookmarks' - you can then have it as you wantNudge nudge, Wink wink, Say No More!0

Why not put your every day ones in the "bookmarks toolbar"
That way they are at the top of your page, or if loads then they go down the side

Any Tabs that you have open when you close FF, will be re-opened when it is next invoked, so if you close it with your usual favs they will automatically open. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Right click and create folders0

Also you can drag a bookmark icon onto the top bar so that with one click a side panel on the left opens.
And you can copy and paste those 'from ie' bookmarks into another folder in that panel.

If you do as Farway suggests and create a bookmarks toolbar once the website is in the toolbar right click on it and goto properties, delete the name, click ok, refresh the page and you will be left with the favicon on the toolbar, I have 48 frequently visited websites on the bookmarks toolbar and many more on the dropdown sidebar.0

In FF press F1 and enter bookmark into the search box where it's all explained. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Would it be possible to reduce the amount of space allocated to each site along the bookmark bar?. currently six are visible, but if an abbreviated section could show etc. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
