  • Hi Karren,
You could try spendingdiary.com - they have a (free) online diary.
I use Excel - two pages of worksheets, one details the amounts spent and where it comes from (cash, debit or cc), and gives the balance of each 'account', then on the next page is the spending breakdown - how much is spent on petrol, food, treats/chocolate:o , petfood etc - a kind of a monthly overview to pick up danger areas.
Others use a pen and paper method - take a notebook with you and write down everything you spend.
How you do it doesn't matter, just that you do it! I find the longer I do it, the more insight I get into my weaknesses.
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
