Help with Vegan muffins

I am attempting to make vegan banana muffins for a friend and have found a recipe online but the only problem is that it says to put a dash of vinegar in, and I'm not sure what type of vinegar to add?
Any help would be really appreciated as she's coming tomorrow

I don't think it really matters... usually vinegar in muffin recipes is added to the soya milk to make it curdle, a bit like buttermilk.
If you want a tried-and-tested vegan muffin recipe, try this one:
Apple cinnamon muffins
(Near bottom of page)
If you want to try it, you'll need a set of measuring cups as it's a Canadian recipe which uses volume rather than weight. Also, "T" is tablespoon and "tsp" is teaspoon... that isn't made clear in the directions. For the flour, I usually just use all plain (white) flour, as that's usually what's on hand. They are REALLY good, especially the sugary, nutty topping (though I usually use quite a bit less topping).

The vinegar is put in to react with the bicarb in the flour and create the carbon dioxide which helps the cake rise. I've got recipes which say cider or wine vinegar, but I've used malt vinegar before now! I tend to use white vinegar these days as I've got plenty in for cleaning purposes.0

Thanks, I'll probably try wine vinegar as that's what I've got in the cupboard. I will look at the recipe Pandora, but she has specifically asked for banana! Last time I made her shortbread, with chunks of maya gold chocolate and I made the mistake of asking what I should make this time!!0
