Home Visits to make wills

Hi, (I hope this is in the right place)
I wonder if anyone can help, my partner and I are buying a house together. We are not married, he has two children I have one (all over 18). we clearly need to make a will so that the remaining partner and the kids are taken care of appropriately and fairly if one or both of us dies and wonder if anyone can recommend someone who does "home visits" as working full time we find it difficult to get to a solictors office (and we are a bit lazy). We live in North Yorkshire. I have seen a few websites but not sure where to start really. Perhaps we would be better off making the effort and going to a local Solicitor? Any advice gratefully recieved.
Thanks.

Are you using a local solicitor to do your convancying? If so they probably have a will writing service so you could use them.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

We are and we could but they don't do home visits. We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0

Sorry should have explained a bit better.
As you have to go to their offices to sign various bits of paper it would be a good idea to book an appointment to write a will around the same time.
Just do some preparation before hand i.e. work out who you want to leave the property to and what conditions, and then would would happen if any person named in your will dies before you.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Funnily enough everything to do with the purchase of the house is being done by post, they send the contracts by post etc. so we don't actually have to go in.We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0

I did my Will by post via my union membership. I suggest you ask the solicitors if you can do it by post and telephone.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I have a good friend who runs a will-writing business, and is honest and reliable. She is rather a long way from you (Gloucester) but surely this can be done by telephone and post? PM me if you want contact details.0

I would recommend the Institute of Professional Willwriters for your Will and home visit. Very straightforward and professional. Here's the link to find a member in your area - http://www.ipw.org.uk/public/willenquiry.php0
