DMP just about to start...

I'm in that 'interim' period where I've sorted out a DMP with the CCCS, have contacted my various creditors to let them know about the situation, and in a couple of weeks time, will make my first DMP payment to the CCCS. This money will then be distributed amongst my creditors.
Taking the advice of the CCCS, I have opened a new bank account with Nationwide to make a fresh start, so my next salary payment will go there.
My question is: one of my creditors is my former bank (HSBC), and the debt is a personal loan, the standing order of which I am unable to cancel online. How can I stop HSBC from taking the money? If they do, this will severely jeopardise my ability to make my first DMP payment.
Thanks for any advice

Can you cancel the standing order on the phone? If they ask why, just say you are rearranging your bank accounts.

Exactly the same thing happened to me so I asked my work to pay me by cheque as I was changing bank accounts. Work didnt ask why or anything so I didnt have the embarrasment of any explanation. Had I not done this my bank would have cleared out my wages against my loan. Happily everything sorted and up and running now so congrats to you on getting your DMP, the only way is up!0
